"Supernatural" has left people with plot twists and shocking revelations that could hit everyone's psyche - especially after the Season 9 left its viewers with a tough cliffhanger. Scenes from the past season left everybody speechless as they thought the old Dean was gone when Season 9's cliffhanger final episode ended showing Dean with black eyeballs -- a sign that he became a demon.
Supposedly, the Mark of Cain, a curse inside him but the effects has never been explained to the show, gave him the power to become more of a menacing and unknown creature. As his worst nightmare happened, his eyes became black - as seen during the last episode - and dark vision of fans says old Dean isn't going to be the character they used to watch.
TV Line interviewed Jensen Ackles - who plays Dean - and during the interview, gave hints of what the upcoming episodes of "Supernatural" might bring and deploy (in terms of emotions) especially on his character.
Dean changed after nine years of being constant
Ackles told TV Line that Dean has overtaken his past image of being too constant (someone you already know what he does, feels, and reacts). He disclosed Dean becoming "an alternate version of himself" and "it's challenging (for him) and it (Dean's change) adds a unique element to the beginning of the season that we haven't seen before."
After a beat, he revealed he had gradually adapted on his portrayal of the Winchester character: "So I wanted to keep Dean alive in there, but I had to make an exaggerated version of him, and that was challenging. This is a character that I've played for nine years. To tailor that into something different, it's hard not to fall back into your same routine."
Dean to become a pain in the a*s for Sam?
In parts, he emphasized that Dean has changed into someone who feels he has the "golden ticket" - a person who "doesn't give a sh-t about anything." Ackles in "Supernatural" shall expose the - changed, sinful - Dean Winchester.
"People are like, "You can't do this. This is going to ruin your life," and they're like, "Screw you! This makes me feel amazing. I'm going to do this. You're the one that's an idiot. This is the best stuff ever." And... everyone else is watching this steady decline of this person. That's kind of demon Dean."
Shall Dean have a new romance, considering the fact of his demonic abilities and appearance?
