Smartphone Specs, Price and Release Date: Nokia offers cheap Lumia 525 model for music-friendly fans

For the last few years, the cutthroat smartphone market has witnessed to the continued evolution and innovation of mobile phones. Nokia, who has initially dominated the mobile phone market, has tried to keep up with the times against the powerhouse versions released by Apple, and the cheaper, but still formidable alternative models from Samsung, LG and the others.

In November last year, the Finland-founded company has announced the release of its latest model in its Lumia Series, the 525. According to an assessment by GSM Arena, the Nokia 525's exterior has no distinction from its predecessor, the 520. On the other hand, the gadget blog said that the latest Lumia model features a much more bigger RAM (Random Access Memory) as compared to the old model at 512 MB RAM. It also currently runs on Windows Phone OS version 8.0, and that users have the option to upgrade the unit's operating system to Windows 8.1 via Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA).

Apart from its colorful outer exterior, the Lumia 525 comes in with 4-inch WVGA (800x480) display, at 235 ppi (pixels per inch), 1 GB of RAM and the option to expand the existing 8 GB internal memory up to to 64 GB via MicroSD. The Lumia 525 was also designed to handle the needs of the music lover owner with its Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, clocked in at 1 Ghz, and a 1430 mAh removable battery along with a 3.5 mm audio connector.

For people who love to take selfies, the latest Lumia model could easily handle the job with its 5 megapixel rear camera.

On the other hand, TheFuseJoplin.com said that the Lumia 525, is might as well considered to mostly tech-savvy customers an average smartphone. If you are the type of mobile phone owner who depends most of his waking life on his smartphone via apps, then this one is not for you considering its handling capacity and its juice. Moreover, it was odd for Nokia to not equip the camera with a flash if it meant to capture selfie lovers as well. The tech blog suggested that for people who wishes to have a phone with a more evenly spread specs, one would have to consider purchasing the Android by Google-run Nokia X2.
