A lot of people would say that reality television shows will really break up a marriage, if it is based on the history of real-life couples who agreed to get their lives taped for the small screen. However, reality star Shannon Beador of the "Real Housewives of Orange Country" rejected the notion and declared to Life and Style, "Our relationship right now is stronger than it was the day we got married!"
In the interview, the 49 year-old appeared to have dodged the reality television curse, given the fact that she is part of a reality television show that is known for its melodramatic moments. Beader even thanked the show for being a great help in achieving this kind of happiness she purportedly enjoys with her husband.
On the other hand, it has been observed that Shannon is the only one who is buying her story. According to RadarOnline, the "RHOC" ladies believed that Shannon is just making up stories about how happy she and David are. Moreover, Shannon's social circle also thinks that the couple, or at least Shannon, are acting up, for the sake of television.
A source told the gossip news site, "Shannon was physically all over David, kissing him, trying to hold his hand, and was just inappropriate. It was obvious she was trying to publicly show that there was a lot of affection between them, but it just looked uncomfortable. David didn't look into it, and was overheard telling Shannon to tone it down."
News about the two's potential split emerged when David sent that infamous email about him moving out of their home. During the couple's vacation in Mexico, Reality Tea noted that David was also brutally honest about him having a hard time in his marriage with the reality star.
On the other hand, Shannon has recently expressed her thoughts about what actually happened during the vacation and insisted that, just like in other marriages, couples need to go through the pains of keeping the connection alive and insisted that all is well in the Beador household.
Shannon wrote in a special blog post for Bravo, "David and I were surprised that (fellow "RHOC" star) Vicki (Gunvalson) had set a special lunch for us because we had a late one the night before and wanted to take a little nap! It was incredibly thoughtful that she set everything up and as you see, we opened up quite a bit and had a very honest and raw conversation about our relationship and our future. It is not fun to watch my marriage played back when we were in a rough spot. But if we can learn from it (and we both have), then the good outweighs the bad!
