"Witches of East End" Season 2 spoilers: Showrunner teases death of lead character as Freya reveals more Frillian action

The Lifetime series "Witches of East End" held its first-ever panel at Comic-Con this year in San Diego, and boy did the showrunner and cast revealed a lot of spoilers for its Season 2.

BAccording to International Business Times, Julia Ormond, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Rachel Boston, Madchen Amick of the fictional Beauchamp coven made it to the panel, as well as Eric Winter, Daniel DiTomasso (Gardiner Brothers), and the executive producers Richard Hatem and Maggie Friendman.

For WOEE fans, it was important that the panel discuss about the appearance of a "death" tarot card in the show. This was a hint, that "some beloved characters will be with us no more" as the season progresses, Friendman teases. However, she fell short of revealing who among the characters in the show would be leaving the Lifetime series.

Dewan-Tatum would most likely not be among them. During the panel, Channing Tatum's wife disclosed to the panel about her Freya character and Killian (DiTomasso) rekindling their romance.

"It's coming, oh wait, can I say that?," Dewan-Tatum said.

Fashion & Style quoted Friendmand, who said that while it its thrilling to hear that "Frillian" would be happening next season, the couple will reportedly not be expecting a swift and easy transition despite sharing a deep connection in the past. "There's a long road ahead for Frillian and it's not smooth all the way," she said.

On the other hand, it seemed that the showrunners have sex on their minds to lead them in building the grand storyline for Season 2. According to Zap2It, producers had wanted to create a fictional creature, of which Friendman called "Mandragora," that is not yet seen in any show or film.

Amick, who plays sister Wendy to Ormond's character in the show, said that Freya and Killian will not be the only couple whom fans would be expecting steam from the show. She said about her character's love life in the new season, "There's a new tomcat on the prowl. (H)e may know how to pet a kitty."

The primetime drama is expected to return on July 6, at 9PM/8PM central.
