A year has passed since "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have ended their relationship. Now, R-Patz has finally opened about their famous break-up.
It could be recalled that Pattinson and the "Clouds of Sils Maria"'s relationship went downhill since the cheating scandal. Paparazzi caught Stewart making out with her married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders, while she was still in a relationship with Pattinson back in 2012. Stewart publicly apologized to Pattinson and her family then, and expressed her deep regret over her actions
"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," she said in a statement as quoted by People.
The couple finally broke up on May 2013, and despite rumors of a reconciliation, the two has never gotten back since.
In his recent interview with Esquire UK, Pattinson referred to his relationship with Stewart and said. "S*** happens, you know? It's just young people ... it's normal! And honestly, who gives a s***?"
He also revealed to the magazine what was the hardest part in his relationship with Stewart. He added, "The hardest part was talking about it afterwards. Because when you talk about other people, it affects them in ways you can't predict, like in that scene in 'Doubt' [with the late Philip Seymour Hoffman] where he's talking about how to take back gossip? They throw all those feathers from a pillow into the sky and you've got to go and collect all the feathers."
Although he did not specifically mention his former girlfriend's name, it is clear that the actor has regrets about his romance with the actress.
Robert's interview follows rumors of Stewart purportedly dating "Equals" co-star Nicholas Hoult. According to Christian Post, the two were spotted having breakfast together at a sushi bar in Japan. Moreover, Hollywood Life observed that the rumors have been supported by Hoult himself, who shared an Instagram video of what appears to be Stewart while she was getting a belly piercing on August 3. In the video, a woman is seen on a piercing table with the same crop top and cut-off denim shorts Stewart was wearing in another Instagram photo.
The pair was last seen at the press conference in London for "Equals," where she also talked about being comfortable baring her emotions on camera.
"I'm definitely not afraid of 'feels.' My life revolves around it actually. Finding the balance between the head and the heart is important but I've always been very driven by the gut," said Stewart.
