This year's list of most expensive cars in the world features the luxurious automobiles like Audi, Porsche and BMW, which are equitably priced for the billionaire's club. However, most of these companies produce only limited number of units to ensure the quality of each design. Forbes released the list of automobiles that only few individuals can afford, and topping the list is the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster.
1. Lamborghini Veneno Roadstar ($4.5 million). This luxurious car originated from Italy boasts its roaring 750-horsepower, as well as its 6.5 liter and 12-cylinder engine. The company plans to create only nine copies of this vehicle in the current year. Within 2.9 seconds, it can reach up to 62 miles per hour, rounding up to 221 miles per hour. Its impressive innovation is its lightweight design as it utilizes carbon fiber-reinforced polymer.
2. Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse ($2.5 million). Those who want a 'vitesse' feel in their vehicle may want to own this automobile. According to the makers, this current model is their 'fastest production roadster in the world'. This French-made vehicle has 1,200-horsepower, 8-litre, and 16-cylinder beast. Its starting price allows motorists to own and drive this luxurious vehicle around the globe. However, only 50 are still available among the total planned production of 450 vehicles.
3. Koenigsegg Agera S ($1.52 million). Swedish car manufacturing company Koenigsegg released its latest flagship model in the United State, the first Agera S. This luxury automobile can reach up to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds while providing comfort and style. Unlike other Hypercar, this vehicle maintains its hold over its performance and drive despite of any road surface conditions. It is because the car can absorb shock while maintaining great stability.
4. Hennessey Venom GT ($1.2 million). This latest model from Hennessey Performance sets a Guiness World record time of 13.63 seconds. Presently, this model had sold only eleven units to clients from different parts of the globe. It is made from a base Lotus Elise, utilizing components like the roof, doors, windscreen, side glass, floorplan, dash, HVAC system, cockpit, head lamps and wiper.
5. Porshe 918 Spyder ($845,000). This popular German-native car manufacturing company released its new model with outstanding innovations such as hybrid gasoline-electric powertrain, rear-wheel steeling and many more. It can reach up to 62mph in 2.5 seconds and can reach up to 19 miles on its battery power alone. Unlike any other racing vehicles, this Porshe is bargely built of lightweight materials.
