Rumors pertaining to the impending divorce of Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi appeared to came into a halt with the couple's recent purchase of a new condo in California, the Inquisitr reported. Citing a RadarOnline source, it would be unusual for a couple heading to splitsville if they just completed purchase of an entire floor of a deluxe building in Beverly Hills.
The condo purchase was taken by many media outlets as a sign that the two has decided to keep their marriage intact. The unit is designed by famed Los Angeles architect Richard Keating, wrote Webpronews. It is located at 1200 Club View Drive. The building where the condo was purchased features other condo units that were designed by various interior designers like David Sutherland, Christian Liaigre, Ralph Lauren's City Modern, Armani/Casa, and James Perse's Malibu Collection.
On the other hand, it has been claimed that there was actually a plan for divorce, if not for the intervention of a reliable "Friend."
That friend would be actress Jennifer Aniston, who as the National Enquirer claimed had been a "Mama Jen" to de Rossi after her rehab stint in Malibu for alcohol and drug abuse, RadarOnline said in a separate report.
An insider told the magazine, "After Portia got out of rehab, Jen reached out to her and they've been in close touch ever since. The joke among Jen's friends is that she should charge a fee for her counseling. They call her "Mama Jen" because she's a nurturer and caretaker to everyone."
Moreover, the insider added that the "Wanderlust" star had been sending de Rossi self-help books and encouraged her to do yoga, tapping yoga teacher Mandy Ingber.
"Jen has listened for hours as Portia poured out her heart over the issues she and Ellen are grappling with, including fighting over whether to have a babyand how to deal with Ellen's jealousy. Portia confessed to Jen that Ellen is so possessive that she's even threatened by how close Jen and Portia have gotten!," the insider said.
