"Dance Moms" news 2014: Are the dance competitions really fake?; Will Abby Lee Miller see time in court?

By

The last episode of Dance Moms showed a distinctly peculiar kind of scenario which displayed and indicated that at some points in filming, the dance competitions were not as they seem to be.

Reality Tea speculated that compared to other dance competitions, it seemed like the last episode was rather one sided, and placed too much focus on the Abby Lee Dance Company on stage.

In addition, Reality Tea also mentioned a few "obvious displays of fakery." Based from the recent episode of Dance Moms, the article noted the lack of an audience, which is usually comprised of dance families and contestants. Moreover, the article also said that only a first couple of rows had people sitting in them. These details make the show questionable, especially for those participants who really want to have that fair chance to showcase their dance prowess.

Much like this issue has taken the attention of regular Dance Moms aficionados; another intrigue has put the show's star, Abby Lee Miller in a different spotlight with Dance Mom Kelly Hyland, who filed a case against Abby Lee and the show's producers.

In a statement from Deadline, it seems that the mother filed multiple claims against Dance Moms including defamation and emotional distress - but during the hearing at an L.A. Superor Court with Judge Ruth Kwan, it looks like the case filed against Miller could be thrown out.

Deadline reported that the legal issue stemmed from a November 2013 brawl between Miller and Hyland over the "bullying and insulting" way the former was treating the latter's daughters on the show. The two women screamed at each other with Miller lunging forward and Hyland slaps her.

Enstarz reported that Judge Kwan has forewarned lawyers that her decisions may still sway either way. The judge stated that, among all the claims filed, she is looking into Hyland's assault claim as one that may still work well for the plaintiff.
