Massive Spoilers for "Game of Thrones" Season 5: Major Character Stabbed to Death, Another Secretly Alive the Whole Time

By

We'll be waiting a little while for the fifth season of HBO's "Game of Thrones" to pick back up, but that doesn't mean there isn't new info coming in about the series.

From Chrisian Post comes a new report with a slew of info about the series' upcoming fifth season. For the record, these plot spoilers all come from the "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels "A Feast for Crows" and "A Dance With Dragons"- and while we're not one hundred percent sure which elements of which book will translate into season five, it's a fair chance that all of the following info is spoiler material.

Read ahead at your own discretion (it's "Game of Thrones," though, so it'd be hard not to. We understand).

Stannis Baratheon and Jon Snow will forge an uneasy alliance with each other, and Stannis will crown Jon the Lord of Winterfell. Which is all well and good, until Jon gets involved in a political snafu and ends up bleeding out in the snow, having been stabbed repeatedly.

Cersei will continue to act as a puppet ruler via her son, King Tommen, but after trying to accuse Margaery of infidelity, Cersei will be the one shamed and excommunicated from the kingdom.

Tyrion will continue leaving King's Landing, and will encounter a band of travelers who are eventually revealed as the caretakers of Aegon Targaryen, potential heir to the throne who was long thought dead.

International Business Times has spoilers of its own to report, that Varys will be playing a very prominent role in the next season, despite having a diminished one in George R. R. Martin's last two novels.

As well, another piece by IBN claims that the Sand Snakes, daughters of the character Oberyn Martell, who was killed gruesomely by a crushed skull this season, will play a major role.

Check back soon for more updates on the next "Game of Thrones" season.
