Although no release date has been announced yet, it's already certain that Marvel is up for the third installment of the 'Thor' movie franchise; along with this is the confirmation that screenwriters were already selected.
One of the writers is Marvel's former Senior Vice President for Production and Development, Craig Kyle. He will be working with Christopher Yost whose previous works include 'Thor: The Dark World.'
In an interview with Collider, Marvel Studios' President, Kevin Feige shared very little information regarding the production status of the movie. He said, "both [are] in development, both in the works. Cap [Captain America] has already been announced, so that's up first. That's in a further stage. 'Thor' is being outlined right now, so both in the works,"
Meantime, several reports are eyeing the possible appearance of Balder, Thor's half-brother and friend. In the Marvel comics, he is prophesied to bring Ragnarok which will cause the destruction of Asgard. As a response, Odin ordered his wife Frigga to make Balder impregnable.
Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, also made a foreshadowing in his interview.
"I think there are very interesting things that happen. In the mythology, when you get to Ragnarok, which is 'the end of all things', it's not the end of the world ... it's the end of time, and the universe, and space. And I think, if I am correct, Loki essentially sets that in motion. And his motivation for doing so is intriguing and he almost becomes the incarnation of chaos, in a way," the actor said.
There are some conclusions that Loki, in search of his real identity, will meet Balder and make him work for him. At the same time, this will endanger Thor's position as Odin's rightful heir because of the discovery of Balder the Brave's identity as Odin's legitimate son.
In addition to all these conjectures pertaining to the plot of 'Thor 3,' Enstarz reported the possible appearance of light elves after the frost giants and dark elves made their way into the previous Thor movie. Aeltri, Faradei, and Hrinmeer the Flame are some of the names mentioned. These obscure creatures are expected to surface in the third franchise, and they will come out to seek out Thor and his assistance.
The dwarves could also possibly march towards the screen. Contrary to popular belief, they are not puny little creatures who look after flowers in gardens. They are actually fierce warriors that are stronger and faster, capable of taking down opponents twice or even thrice their size.
Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth is still sure to reassume his role as Thor. Also making their comeback for the latest franchise are Natalie Portman and Tom Hiddleton.
