As the details of the release date of "The Walking Dead's" midseason finale is revealed, a new trailer has got the show's fans pumped up for the upcoming season.

As previous spoilers have suggested, the next season might reveal the death of some of the lead characters. It was also hinted that Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) will endeavor to save his friends and loved ones from Terminus.

The teaser trailer, which was uploaded by AMC, showed Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and gas masks. These were linked to rumors that the character may die in the upcoming season. But many fans hope it would not be the end of their favorite character.

It seems like the viewers will get to see a lot of action scenes in the upcoming season. In an interview with AMC, the show's Stunt Coordinator, Monty Simons, dished out clues on what to expect come season 5. "I jumped in feet-first on the Premiere. It's probably one of the biggest stunt-heavy episodes ever filmed. I didn't have a whole lot of time to sit around and think about how to properly get into gear. We had to hit this gear immediately," said Simons.

Wetpaint reported that the fifth season of the zombie drama will run interrupted in two eight-episode halves. The report claims the season will start airing on October 12, so the midseason finale will fall on November 30.

Executive Producer, Gale Anne Hurd, shared the show's programming structure for this season.

"We always have one sort of overarching arc, but there are distinct natural ends to particular arcs that fall during the midseason finale and pick up again in the midseason premiere," Hurd shared.

Meanwhile, Executive Producer Robert Kirkman, dished out a few details of the zombie-drama series' new chapter. He revealed that Rick and his group, who were seen locked up inside a train car in the previous season's finale, will be able to get out. Kirkman also teased that the action-and-suspense-filled escape may be shown in the premiere episode.

Kirkman also added that the first episode will have a significant focus on the people of Terminus. The premiere will also reveal the character of the Terminus people and their reason behind locking up Rick and his gang.

Lincoln described the season premiere as the "most ambitious" of all the seasons they have made.

Fans will have to see if it is true when "The Walking Dead" Season 5 premieres on Oct. 12 at 9 P.M. on AMC.
