Beyonce showcased her prominence as a powerhouse diva once again after her 17-minute performance at the 2014 Video Music Awards on Sunday night. The Forbes' Most Powerful Celebrity of 2014, who bested other 99 huge stars in the industry including Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey, performed a mash-up of her 12 songs for her self-titled album, Vox reported. "Beyonce" garnered immediate popularity after the songstress publicized the album without prior notice. The album later on topped the iTunes' album chart for weeks.
Queen Bey's penchant to suprising her fans was evident at the VMAs. Her performance featured 12 of her songs, which include "Mine," "Haunted," "Jealous," "No Angel," 'Rocket," "Drunk In Love," which was famous as she collaborated with her husband, Jay-Z, "Partition," "Flawless," "Yonce," "Blue," the song dedicated to her daughter, Blue Ivy, and the carnival-themed hit single "XO."

Beyonce capped the night when she received the MTV VMA's Michael Jackson Vanguard Award, an award given to the most popular virtuoso artists. The award is often likened to a "Lifetime Achievement Award." The awarding ceremony had proven to be most significant to Beyonce, as she was presented with the award by no less than Jay-Z carrying their daughter Blue Ivy. In what could be a conclusive evidence that an impending divorce is just a rumor, the family shared a lovely moment onstage, with Beyonce and Jay-Z giving each other a kiss, TIME said. The singer appeared overwhelmed with the moment as she cried.
"I have nothing to say, but I'm filled with so much gratitude. I thank God for this moment. I love y'all so much. Blue Blue, I love you. My beloved, I love you. My fans, I love you. MTV, I love you. Goodnight," Beyonce said.
