Matt Bomer is reportedly the latest actor who has joined the "American Horror Story" series. The show, which is in its fourth season, will be featuring a story about the last freak show in the US, and show creator Ryan Murphy could not help but express his delight to welcome the "White Collar" star.

"I try to get him (Bomer) to do everything for me. I sent him a text that said, 'First right of refusal, here's the role.' It's very...warped," Ryan Murphy told Entertainment Weekly during an EW Emmy after-party.

Moreover, Murphy also disclosed that he needed to cope with Bomer's hectic schedule, for the actor is currently committed on filming for the upcoming movie "Magic Mike 2: XXL". He, then, said that Bomer would unfortunately only be appearing on a single episode.

Bomer have worked with Murphy on the HBO's television movie "The Normal Heart," the Los Angeles Daily News reported. The television special won 2 awards out of 16 nominations, including the major award for "Outstanding Television Movie," at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles on Monday. "The Normal Heart" is a story of the epidemic era of HIV and AIDS during the early 1980's. Bomer portrayed the role of Felix Turner, who died of AIDS and the love interest of the main lead Ned Weeks, which was played by "Avengers" star Mark Ruffalo.

At the awards night, Bomer bumped with Mario Lopez and Tracey Edmonds who were covering the event for EXTRA, where the actor revealed that "Magic Mike 2: XXL" will "surprise people". The 36-year old Missouri-raised actor previously confirmed on reprising his role as a stripper on the said movie.

"I can't really give too much away, you'll have to ask Channing about all that stuff. But I think we got, I was really impressed with what they came up with for the sequel. I think it's going to surprise people in some really fun ways...they came up with some really fun stuff," Bomer said.

"American Horror Story" premieres on October 8 on FX. The formal logline of Season 3 read, as published by the Hollywood Reporter, "American Horror Story: Freak Show begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience."
