"The Sims 4" can be pre-loaded onto your PC, but that's no longer necessary. Multiple media outlets have reported that the game's been released today, and within two more days, it'll be playable worldwide.
That, on its own, is good news. "The Sims" is an unbelievably popular franchise, and the latest installment adds a truckload of new features. In a press release from exectuive producer Rachel Franklin as quoted by MarketWatch, we learn a little more about what makes this new "Sims" so special.
""Every Sim is unique in The Sims 4, your own individual creations that come to life with big personalities and endless possibilities. Who they are on the inside changes the way you play. Your Sims embody the traits and aspirations you give them in The Sims 4, and playing out their charming, hilarious and crazy stories has never been more fun," she said.
The fourth installement of "The Sims" for PC has some new details. Gamers can observe the Sims' emotional states and how they affect them as they perform certain actions. Moreover there are new ways for your Sims to be killed.
However, the question everyone's asking is about "The Sims 4" on Mac. While the PC release has rolled out right on time, there's little to no talk of a Mac release, which has some gamers miffed.
The Epoch Times reports that not only has the Mac release been delayed indefinitely, but a considerable list of other conten in the earlier PC version has been axed from the latest game. Citing a fan website, the site said much of the favored content in like "Create a Style" in "The Sims 3" is no longer available in the fourth game. That's bound to have fans of the third game feeling pretty upset.
On the other hand, Mike Wehner for TUAW.com said that considering the fact that the Mac version for "Simcity" was "unplayable," Apple enthusiasts are rather fine that Electronic Arts would not be releasing a version of "The Sims 4" for Mac unless the company puts the port to a proven Mac game publisher.
