"American Horror Story" is one of the most-anticipated shows of the season. And with good reason, considering how completely insane FX's anthology horror season is. One year it's aliens, the next it's ghosts, witches, demons, and so forth.
This season, it's the performers of a circus sideshow, in all their deformed glory. Also there'll be a killer clown thrown in there somewhere, of course.
Inernational Business Times has the first full-length trailer for the next season of "American Horror Story," entitled "Freakshow," and it's some seriously freaky stuff. Coming with the captions of "Ready to peek under the big top?" and "Prepare yourself," the trailer zooms around backstage at the titular freakshow, showing off little glimpses of all our major players.
Here's who we see in the new trailer.
Ethel Darling, the Bearded Lady (played by Kathy Bates).
Wendell del Toredo, The Strongman (played by Michael Chiklis).
Desiree Dupree, The Three-Breasted Woman (played by Angela Basset).
Jimmy Darling, who doesn't have an official sideshow name but has his fingers fused together like claws (played by Evan Peters).
Bette and Dot Tattler, a two-headed woman (played by Sarah Paulson).
Elsa Mars, who runs the whole show (played by Jessica Lange).
According to Lange (who spoke to Hollywood Life,) this season is going to be just as terrifying as previous "American Horror Story" seasons.
"I think this season is going to be the most extraordinary that we've done. I think that what we've got - what's working there, the potential is pretty extraordinary. And if it can all come together, and if we can keep on track, I think it's going to be something really, really special."
According to Enstars, previous teasers for the series have shown off sword-swallowers and terrifying clowns (yep, always killer clowns) as potential scares we might be seeing in the upcoming season.
Only another month to go before the "Freak Show" begins!
