Henry Winchester, the paternal grandfather of Dean, Sam and Adam, appears to be coming back for the tenth season of "Supernatural", as executive producer and writer Adam Glass tacitly suggested that there is a lot to explore in the character.
"@TheGeekiary @GilMcKinney Nuthin official but I would luv 2 C Henry again. Gil plays him so well and I think there is alot to explore#SPN", Glass wrote on his Twitter account.
This makes fans curious and wait with uncertain expectation, according to a report from Christian Today, whether Sam and Dean's grandfather will return in the future.
A comeback is possible since Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) could use a deeper understanding of Henry's memories to give them vantage in this otherworldly conflict, seeing the knowledge and secrets of the Men of Letters have hardly been tapped into by the Winchester brothers.
Henry Winchester, played by actor Gil McKinney, was a member of a secret order known as the Men of Letters, who possess knowledge of mysteries, the supernatural, and various esoteric arts. He first appeared in "As Time Goes By," the 12th episode of Season 8, when, from 1958, he traveled forward in time and arrived at Sam and Dean's motel room while searching for his son John, and while escaping from the demon Abaddon, who followed him and eventually killed him. In Season 9, he was mentioned in the "Blade Runners" and appeared in flashbacks to 1958 in "Mother's Little Helper".
Meanwhile, actor Jensen Ackles tweeted this on September 3:
Last day of episode 200! Me and @jarpad sittin where we belong. #Supernatural pic.twitter.com/MeY10CGku9
The cast and crew finished filming the series' 200th episode. Dubbed "Fan Fiction", the episode will pay homage to the TV show's enormous fan base.
"Supernatural" Season 10 premieres on The CW October 7.
