"Criminal Minds" has already reached its 10th season, but it still does not show any sign of slowing down. The upcoming season, which will be aired on October 1st, will see the addition of two new characters to the show.
Air Herald has reported that "Ghost Whisperer" actress, Jennifer Love Hewitt, will be joining the cast of "Criminal Minds." Love-Hewitt will be taking on the role of Kate Callahan who is an FBI agent. According to TVLine, Love Hewitt's character will be introduced as she's working undercover for a case. The show's executive producer, Erica Messer said, "You see her doing something you don't see our team ever doing. [She has to] sit there and pretend to like a criminal."
Jennifer Love Hewitt is not the only new face that we are going to see on the latest season of the show. Alicia Capolla will also be part of the show playing the character of Lisa Randall. She is going to be the head of Morgellan's support group and she is expected to be seen in at least two episodes.
According to Movie News Guide, the show will pick up from the last episode of Season 9. It will tackle about what happened after the shooting between Reid and Garcia and how it is going to affect them. In the same interview with TVLine, Messer added that Episode 3 will be a "big" one, commenting that the team will be called to the site of "one of the largest disasters with mass casualties they've seen in their 10-year history."
"Criminal Minds" returns on Wednesday, October 1 at 9/10c on CBS.
