'Blue Mountain State' Ready for 2015 Movie Release Despite Low Budget

By

Although the TV series of "Blue Mountain State" was short lived and ended 2012, the movie version of the show has been long rumored to happen soon. Recent reports have stated that the show will indeed hit theatres sometime in 2015.

According to Enstarz, fans were ready to put in help and effort to fund the movie production through a crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter. This effort started last August and the production team has since promised that the movie will be released despite delays brought about by the lack of finances.

Series creator Eric Falconer said, "Our biggest obstacle right now, and forever, is money. We've written an epic script and epic scripts cost money to shoot." But fans of this raunchy college football favorite will surely not be disappointed to wait for the movie to come out as Alex (Darin Brooks), Sammy (Chris Romano) and Shilo (Sam Jones III) will all be back to provide yet another entertaining spectacle about college life and football.

According to Decider, the movie version of "Blue Mountain State" is going to be directed by Jay Chandrasekhar famed for his work on "Broken Lizard." Meanwhile, renowned for his YouTube channel called "Life According to Jimmy" actor-comedian Jimmy Tatro is set to also be included in the cast of the upcoming "Blue Mountain State" movie.

Aside from his online fame he has also recently been very busy pursuing his career in comedy as seen in most of his stand up comedy shows that feature a lot of funny ad-libs about fame, college life and even working with Channing Tatum. From The Online Rocket report, Tatro's movie experience with "22 Jump Street" was able to give him enough range in comedy-action but Tatro is also looking to find other roles in the future that could be on the serious side.
