'The Last of Us', a much expected action-adventure survival video game to be released soon, is speculated to be coming out soon. Naughty Dog, the game's developer, thinks they have not laid out concrete plans, still.
Neil Druckmann, Naughty Dog's Creative Director, admitted that they are currently brainstorming and an upcoming sequel could be delayed. On the report of PS Magazine UK, Drunkmann admitted saying, in parts, "We don't know yet," as they are "still trying to figure it out."
"We're brainstorming some stuff, so we'll see where that goes," he explains.
"We have such limited resources, and it's a question of where you put the resources," the creator divulges. "It's something where we can have a feel of where the demand is, and where our time is best spent. It's something that we'll figure out as we move forward."
The story plot of the upcoming sequel is nonetheless, a huge challenge for them as it deals with a much higher advancement for their gamer's satisfaction.
"It's kind of like how we approached Left Behind," he addresses the story where the game's protagonist Ellie seeks for his injured partner. "Can we tell people a story that's really worth telling, and that's not repeating itself? And if we can't, where can we get inspired--what is something that's really going to challenge us, and push storytelling in this medium forward?"
Rumors on whether the characters Ellie and Joel will return are still questionable. As a recap, the protagonists fought against an infection in United States that turns men into cannibalistic monsters. Moreover, no recent updates were announced by the developer, still.
Do you agree that Naughty Boy must slow down the creating process and be mindful of the details, especially on the game's story despite their fans waiting for the sequel?
