By

As the new season for the hit TV series "Elementary" begins, teasers about the show have been circulating that sees Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) looking to find a possible rival as Sherlock Holmes' (Jonny Lee Miller) partner in crime solving. According to Ace Showbiz, Watson will be battling, literally, with Sherlock's new student, Kitty Winter (Ophelia Lovibond), and the two will definitely not have a great introduction.

Show executive Rob Doherty admits that the two characters will not be getting off well when they meet and that will be leading them to get into a physical altercation the moment they meet and way before they even get introduced to each other. And as if having a battle of sorts with Kitty is not enough challenge for Watson, the new season is also reporting that an enemy will also be making an appearance in the next episodes of "Elementary" adding onto Joan's plate.

A report from Fashion & Style says that in the premiere of "Elementary" Season 3, Elana March (Gina Gershon) will clearly show up to do her deed of getting rid of Watson even telling her sentiments, "I was counting on you dying."

In the season premiere there are a few set situations that will definitely send the fans to the edge of their seats as new mysteries are again revealed that directly involves how Holmes and Watson will be working together.

In addition, news from KPopStarz says that as soon as the episode airs on October 30, fans will see that the Watson versus Winter clash is one that may seem unclear and undefined especially with why Winter has come to take on a partnership with Holmes. Aside from Lovibond and Gershon, Phil Simms will also be appearing as himself, in the new season of "Elementary" as an old friend of Sherlock's an episode airing by November.
