Girl’s Generation after Jessica; Sunny takes over Jessica’s part in ‘Mr. Mr.’ during SMTOWN concert in Japan

In a statement released by Jessica, she revealed that her co-members made her choose between Girls' Generation and her business.

"Ultimately, I pleaded that it was unjust for me to have to make a choice," said Jessica in the statement.

"Becoming a Girls' Generation member was the best thing in my life, and I had never thought about quitting. Shocked about this, I had met with the [SM] agency CEO on September 16 to convey my position, and once again confirmed their permission for carrying out my business. However, on September 29, I was given a one-sided notice asking me to leave Girls' Generation," she further wrote.

However, the remaining members of the group said that they are only after the best interest of the group.

In the recently held fan meeting of the sub-unit TaeTiSeo, GG's leader Taeyeon apologized to their fans for the departure of Jessica. The other member of the sub-group, Seohyun and Tiffany broke into tears as Taeyeon explained that the only thoughts she had since the start was "to protect SNSD."

"I'm so sorry. Please trust in SNSD one more time. We will try to have only positive things happen with SNSD in the future," said Taeyeon.

Meanwhile, Girls' Generation member Sunny made fans worry as she behaved differently during the October 1st broadcast of her radio show "Sunny's FM Date."

Sunny, as a host, is known for her cheerful and bubbly personality. The show was broadcasted a day after the news about Jessica's exit broke and noticed that the K-pop star seemed to be not in the mood to entertain her listeners.
