Break-ups are tough especially for the Miami Heat who saw LeBron James walk away in free agency to sign with his home town team the Cleveland Cavaliers. Bosh, Wade, and James, who decided to join forces in South beach four summers ago, went to the finals four times including two back-to-back championships together. Bosh, however, seems determined to move on from James now that he is no longer part of the Heat roster.
When Bosh was asked whether he was looking forward to seeing LeBron, he made a very surprising response per Dime Magazine:
"Yeah ... I don't know. I'm in the mode where I'm trying to lead my team, help these guys out around here," Bosh continued. "If guys aren't in this locker room, I don't have much time for them - if any."
What's more, Bosh said that it would be "very difficult" and "extremely frustrating" for Kevin Love to play alongside James in Cleveland. Here is what Bosh told Bleacher Report's Ethan Skolnick on Love's new role as the Cavs third wheel - a role that he knew very well when James was still playing with the Heat:
It's going to be very difficult for him," Bosh said of Love's new task. "Even if I was in his corner and I was able to tell him what to expect and what to do, it still doesn't make any difference. You still have to go through things, you still have to figure out things on your own. It's extremely difficult and extremely frustrating. He's going to have to deal with that."
LeBron is apparently surprised with Bosh's comments especially after playing four seasons and winning two NBA titles with him during the Heat's Big Three era. James responded on Bosh recent comments vis ESPN's Brian Windhorst:
"I know a lot of words have been coming out of their camp as of late and some of it is surprising," James said Friday after Cleveland's practice. "We've got so much history together. ... It doesn't take away from what we accomplished [in Miami] and I know that."
"I've talked to D. Wade. Obviously, I haven't talked to Chris. But I haven't seen them," James added.
But if anything, the Heat's Big Three will shake hands when they see each other during their exhibition game in Brazil. Dwight Howard and Chandler Parsons greeted each other warmly - Howard hugged Parsons for a very long time - despite the drama and controversy that surrounded Parson's departure to the Dallas Mavericks. The same should be expected from Bosh and James once they meet on one of their preseason games.
