"The Voice" Season 7 continues with the battle between artists coming from different genres. What shall Episode 7 bring on for this batch of singing reality tv competition as the Battle Rounds premieres?
On the previous episodes, we saw how Team Pharrell and Team Gwen stole aspiring artists from the veterans Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Both of the rookies have been doing well in the season so far, and they will give their best shot of having this season's winner from their camp.
On the next episode of the renowned singing competition, Entertainment Weekly gave us a hint of who whom coaches paired up to sing for them and to showcase their versatility.
Team Gwen:
- Amanda Lee Peers versus Taylor John Williams - to sing Dolly Parton's single "Jolene"
- Jean Kelley versus Joans - to sing "Survivor" by Destiny's Child
- Menlik Zergabachew versus Troy Ritchie - to sing "Maneater" by Hall and Oats
Team Blake:
- Craig Wayne Boyd versus James David Carter - to perform the hit country song "Wave on Wave" by Pat Green
- Grant Ganzer versus John Martin - to sing pop rock band One Republic's "Stop and Stare"
- Justin Johnes versus Tanner Linford - to perform "You and I" by One Direction
Team Pharrell:
- Mama's boy Elyjuh Rene versus belter Maiya Sykes - to perform Alicia Keys' greatest single "If I Ain't Got You"
- Griffin versus Luke Wade - to sing Paul McCartney's "Maybe I'm Amazed"
- Jordy Searcy versus Taylor Phelan - to jam Irish pop rock band The Script's "Breakeven"
Team Adam:
- Alessandro Castronovo versus Joe Kirk - to soulfully sing "Stay" by Rihanna featuring Mikky Ekko
- Chris Jamison versus Jonathan Wyndham - to sing Bruno Mars' "Young Girls"
- Clara Hong versus Rebekah Samarin - to perform Grammy-award winning artist Carole King's "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow"
The four coaches namely Adam (with advisor Stevie Nicks), Blake Shelton (with Little Big Town), Gwen Stefani (with Gavin Rossdale) and Pharrell Williams (with Alicia Keys) will be having their tough job of choosing who stays and go gets flunked out of the competition.
