‘Happy New Year’ News: Film slated for October 24 release with Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone as decisive factor; Hollywood submits to Bollywood further

'Happy New Year' is slated for a Diwali release date although some reports claim that there might be some changes on the schedule. Still, fans are on a rave after the trailer and movie posters were released, Fashion n' Style reported.

It was supposed to hit the big screen by October 23 but it will be delayed for a day, which may not be so late for the kicking fans. Thus it is set for October 24. This consideration was taken into account by the makers because of the auspicious Laxmi puja, which would be performed by people in the evening of Oct. 23.

The team of the Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone decided to be strategic regarding the release. In October 23, the Festival of lights will keep the family busy, clashing with film's evening shows-and this would presumably affect box office collections.

SRK has soaring expectations for the film, believing that the Bollywood industry needs to bring its dreams to a higher plane. Making it to the 100 crore category is not as big of a deal anymore. It is definitely commendable, but Khan thinks they might be limiting the possibilities. SRK had a lot of successful films such as 'Chennai Express,' 'Ra.One,' 'Om Shanti Om,' among others, but this time they need to raise the bar higher.

"It is a good base to start off business-wise, but I don't think of business. I am a creative person. I think and I like to believe there is no limitation to creativity," said Khan.

'Happy New Year' is surely a film to look forward to this year. Hollywood directors are even giving way for film's release date so as not to conflict with Brad Pitt's and Shia LaBeouf's movie 'Fury.' The film was originally set for October 17 release, but Hollywood considers SRK film, so it the World War II drama would be pushed to October 31.

The storyline revolves around the lives of Charlie, Nandu, Jag, Tammy, Mohini and Rohan. The unlikely 'heroes' are losers and each has his own expertise. Together, they are set for World's biggest heist as a 'Happy New Year' mission.

'Happy New Year' is one of Bollywood's big budget films with a total of 170 days of shooting. And yes, it's Bollywood so fans can expect great songs to bring in some joy to the film. It's one feel-good movie you shouldn't miss, Hallels reported.

Recently, the casts Shah Rukh Khan, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah, Sonu Sood, and Abishek Bachchan graced Comedy Nights with Kapil. Actress Depika Padukone was nowhere to be found, but the team managed to shoot two episodes with the CNWK team, Bollywood IGN reported.

Director Farah Khan was also present at the event, and this she tweeted about the show, "#HNY team on CNWK!! Probably the maddest, funnest n happiest two episodes ever!!"
