SM Entertainment released an official statement regarding f(x)'s Krystal's fainting spell during "SMTOWN Live Concert Tour" in Shanghai last October 18.
According to Allkpop, a representative from the giant record label said on October 22, "Krystal took time to rest after she showed signs of dizziness after performing at last Saturday's concert. Currently, she's returned to filming her drama and is following through with her schedule well."
Fans of the female idol group have been worrying about Krystal's condition after the event. The official statement from SM's rep somehow eased their worries, knowing the idol-actress is already in a good condition and is back to work.
During the concert, which was attended by some of SM Entertainment's globally popular groups, Krystal showed signs of fatigue while her group f(x) was performing. The idol was wearing sunglasses while on stage and she noticeably walked off right after their song.
According to reports, fans saw Krystal fainting with fellow member Victoria supporting her. Staff members immediately helped and carried Krystal to a waiting van.
KpopStars reported that fans' accounts of the incident spread through Weibo, a Chinese social media platform. This was followed by numerous comments and harsh criticisms on how SM is treating their artists. Fans took to Twitter to trend #GetWellSoonSoojung as a sign of their support for the artist.
KpopStars also noted that this is not the first time Krystal fainted while performing. The idol passed out while her group is performing at the Lotte Duty Free promotional concert in 2011.
Krystal is the younger sister of Jessica Jung, who was recently involved in a controversy with SM and Girls' Generation after she was kicked out from the group.
Currently the young singer-actress is starring alongside South Korean superstar Rain in SBS drama "My Lovely Girl." The drama is reportedly not only a top-rater in Korea but also one of the favorites in China, after receiving numerous view counts from Tudou and Youku, some of the country's biggest video-hosting sites.
