Gene Simmons promotes his new book and tells women to stop depending on men; He regrets not marrying wife, Shannon Tweed sooner

In an interview with Andrea Tantaros on "Trending with Tantaros" on Fox News, Gene Simmons of the popular rock band KISS, wants women to stop depending on men while promoting his new book "Me Inc.: Build an Army of One, Unleash Your Inner Rock God, Win in Life and Business".

During the interview, Tantaros cites one quote from the book which is women should stop depending on men and they should assume men will abandon them during a relationship and should just focus on their careers to support themselves. Tantaros asked Simmons what this really meant and Simmons responds with:

"This is a very complex and difficult question to answer so I'm going put it as simply as possible. Women: Stop depending on men. It's simple as that. Imagine there are no men in life. Find out that thing that you're good for that makes the money and then get married and/or have children from a position of strength."

Gene Simmons further explains that men and women are different when it comes to careers and success. He says that women should put relationships on hold and go for a successful career and you can fall in love any time again.

After hearing this, Andrea Tantaros then presses for a harder question involving his wife Shannon Tweed, who Simmons married back in 2011 although they have been 28 years now. Andrea cites one part of the book that Simmons suggests that you have to be selfish and put yourself first.

"You had the blessing of a woman who stuck by you, who raised your children. I read this and I thought, wait a minute, he's telling me to be selfish and put myself first but at the same time, he regrets those decisions to be selfish.", Andrea points out to Gene.

Gene then says he regrets not marrying his wife Tweed sooner. "It is a massive failing for me that I didn't recognize the purity and sanctity of love. Why I didn't marry Shannon when I first met her and dropped head over heels with her is the stupidity and arrogance and selfishness of man."
