A recent tweet by Nichkhun of K-pop idol group, 2PM has sparked rumors that he and Girls' Generation's Tiffany might be on the verge of breakup, Kpopstars reports.
Nichkhun tweeted on October 27 a message with lyrics from Frank Sinatra's "Strangers In The Night." The message reads, "T.S. : Strangers In The Night - Frank Sinatra. 'Love was just a glance away, warm embracing dance away' goodnight!" it came with a photo of him looking up at the camera.
On October 29, Osen published a report from Chinese media outlet Sina that questioned the status of the idols' relationship. According to the news outlet, the lyrics of the songs may suggest that the two might have ended their relationship, possibly due to the Nichkhun and Tiffany's busy schedules that have been preventing them from seeing each other.
It was suggested that the "T.S." in the message could mean "To Stephanie" or "Tiffany Stephanie." Stephanie is Tiffany's legal English name.
Other netizens, meanwhile, suggested that the message meant the other way. They have claimed that Nichkhun's tweet suggested his love for Tiffany, noting that the full lyrics of the song are romantic.
Back in April, it was revealed that the two high-profile idols had been dating since the start of the year. Both JYP Entertainment (2PM's record label) and SM Entertainment (Girls' Generation's record label) confirmed the dating rumors. Respective fans of the two idols have since supported their relationship.
In a report last month, Nichkhun addressed issues that the two are not together anymore. "We are fine," and added, "We are very busy, so it has been quite a long time since we met up. I think the last time we met was in early August."
The two released their respective group's new songs almost at the same date.
Nichkhun is currently busy working for the Chinese reality program, "Brave Heart," Koreaboo reports.
Neither of the idols nor their agencies have responded to the rumors.
