There's no question that Katherine Heigl is one of the most popular names in Hollywood. Her best performances in "Grey's Anatomy" and big screen movies like "Knocked Up" has earned her quite a good standing in the entertainment industry. However, the actress seems to have some difficulty being nice to people, E-online reported.
"Grey's Anatomy" creator Shonda Rhimes recently blasted the 35-year-old when she described her "no a--holes" policy. "There are no Heigls in this situation...I don't put up with bulls--t or nasty people. I don't have time for it," the report continued.
In a recent Facebook Q&A, Heigl was asked by one of the fans about the rumors that she is rude-and she replied with something that might come as a total shock:
"Yeah I've heard those too....honestly I don't think I am...nothing makes me more uncomfortable than confrontation or hurting someone's feelings and I would never, ever, actively do so on purpose," she explained. "Of course just like any human being I've made mistakes and unwittingly or carelessly spoken or acted but I always try to make any wrong right."
She added, "That doesn't mean I won't stand up for myself by drawing boundaries and asking to be treated kindly and respectfully but I don't do that with any rude or unkind intentions just with the same strength and honestly I think every one of us is entitled to," People quoted.
Huffington Post also reported that it wasn't the first time Heigl addressed such rumors. They quoted her saying, "I can only say that I certainly don't see myself as being difficult. I would never intend to be difficult. I don't think my mother sees herself as being difficult. I think it's important to everybody to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully and kindly. If I have ever disappointed somebody, it was not intentional."
Amidst this entire buzz about her attitude, she has decided to put the past behind her and instead she has decided to thrill her fans about her upcoming series this month to be aired on NBC. In the drama "State of Affairs," Heigl plays CIA briefer Charlie Tucker who used to be engaged to President Constance Payton (Afre Woodard)'s son. Throughout the season, Charlie is working on a mission that keeps on drawing her in.
When asked what she thinks about her new role, Heigl said that she fell in love with her character. She likes the fact that Charlie is such a "strong, intelligent, powerful woman" and yet she has still these weaknesses and vulnerabilities, she explained on Facebook. "I love her patriotism and sense of duty and honor. I love her relationship with the president played by the incredible Miss Afre Woodard."
"State of Affairs" will being airing on November 17, at 10 p.m. on NBC.
