Nicki Minaj's ex-boyfriend, Safaree Samuels, finally addresses the rumors of him being the subject of her newest single "Only", from her new album "The Pinkprint" on his Twitter account.
It was just last week that Nicki Minaj's new single "Only" was uploaded on YouTube and the rumor mills and tabloids have been insisting that the supposed lyrics are subliminal messages directed to her recent ex-boyfriend, rapper, Safaree Samuels.
But he quickly responded on Twitter by tweeting, "you do know I was there when "only" was recorded and received right?? The song is new to yall not me... give it a rest ppl."
As for the song itself, it features Drake, Lil' Wayne, and Chris Brown with sexually charged lyrics and of course a memorable beat and bass line. It was also produced by Dr. Luke, Cirkut, and J Mike. Nicki also posted the cover art on her Instagram which has Chris Brown dressed as the pope.
As of this post, "Only" is the #1 gainer on urban radio, #7 on US iTunes, and #1 on US RAP and Nicki Minaj went to Instagram and Twitter to thank her fans, supporters, and a special mention to Australia.
In related news, Nicki Minaj's new album "The Pinkprint", has been delayed and pushed back to be released on December 15, 2014 as Billboard reports. It was initially reported that the album was to be released on November 24, 2014.
