There's never a good outcome in hurting your loved one.
Following his alleged assault on Masika Tucker, "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" star Yung Berg has been fired by VH1. The rapper's contract with the show has been terminated quickly after he was arrested by authorities on Wednesday, November 5.
ABC News said that police responded to a 911 call made early in the morning. Upon arriving at the Gershwin Hotel in Manhattan, Masika told authorities that she was grabbed by her boyfriend by the neck and threw her to the ground. She also said that Yung Berg also dragged her by her hair and had punched her face. Masika refused medical attention.
TMZ claimed that the assault was the result of Yung Berg's credit card getting declined during a night out of town.
Since then, Yung Berg has been charged with criminal obstruction of breathing in connection of his assault on his girlfriend. Masika and Yung Berg has yet to provide a statement following the matter. It is also not known whether the two have remained together following the alleged assault.
On Friday, November 7, VH1 posted a statement on their website, which read, "Based on the severity of the allegations against Yung Berg, VH1 is terminating its relationship with him in connection with Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, effective immediately."
This is not the only violent case that plagued the "Love & Hip Hop" spinoff. Earlier, Ray J and his girlfriend Princess Love was caught up in an altercation with co-star Morgan Hardman during a taping of the show's reunion special. Sources claimed that as Morgan was bad-mouthing her former boyfriend during the taping, Princess Love reached a breaking point and attacked Morgan.
TMZ caught up with a visibly injured Morgan, who said that although she would never forget the two for getting violent with her, she has only love for the couple's adorable dogs.
