Masika Kalysha has broken her silence about being assaulted by Yung Berg in New York City, which led to Berg's exit from the show "Love & Hip Hop Hollywood." However, many speculate that the two are still together.
According to Wet Paint, Kalysha has been assaulted by Berg after filming for the reunion special wrapped for the show in New York. Since that has happened a week ago, Berg has been taken to jail and booted out of the show, and both parties have remained silent. However, just recently, Kalysha has resurfaced on Twitter with a message to her fans thanking them for their support. According to Kalysha, "This is a personal matter & I will address it soon. In the meantime I ask that my privacy be respected."
Kalysha also posted a photo of her tweet for her Instagram followers, adds Wet Paint.
Berg was booted off the show after his credit card got declined and he had an argument with Kalysha, which led to the attack. Wet Paint relays, "After Masika gave Berg a talking to, reports say Berg grabbed her by the throat, tossed her on their bed, dragged her by her hair, and punched her. When law enforcement arrived, Masika reportedly had cuts and visible bruises on her body." Berg was eventually charged with one count of harassment and three counts of assault.
However, it remains unclear whether the two had broken up after the altercation.
Just on November 5, the same day that Berg was terminated by VH1, Mstarz reported Berg posting a now-deleted photo of Kalysha on his Instagram captioned with the endearment "Bae," which has fans speculating that despite the altercation and its consequences, the two are still together. Kalysha is also noted to still be defending Berg and "is seemingly not giving up on her rapper boyfriend," Crossmap adds.
The state of the relationship of the two may not be known but Berg's termination from VH1 is. On November 7, VH1 released a statement confirming Berg's removal from the show, stating, "Based on the severity of the allegations against Yung Berg, VH1 is terminating its relationship with him in connection with 'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood,' effective immediately."
Berg's side of the story is yet to be heard.
