After months of teasing, the new "Fifty Shades of Grey" trailer was revealed during the commercial break of ABC's "Scandal" and was also uploaded on the movie's official YouTube channel as well.
Universal Studios in a bold and bright move, decided to show the new trailer for the highly anticipated film adaptation of E.L. James' best-selling erotic romance novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey", during the commercial break of ABC's "Scandal" which gives the trailer a sweet spot for attracting the right audiences and demographics that the film is aimed towards.
The trailer shows new footage and gives a plot summary of what the movie is all about without giving too much away like most movie trailers tend to do nowadays. The new trailer also gives us the possible pacing of the film and how the plot will progress with a little bit of your cliché romantic-comedy movies.
But of course, for those who've read the book and especially fans of it, the trailer gives us a taste of the explicit nature of what the book and the movie is all about - BDSM. The trailer also gives us a sneak peak of Mr. Grey's famous Red Room of Pain.
Not to mention that to top it all off is Beyoncé singing in the background throughout the whole trailer.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" stars Jamie Dornan playing the role of the wealthy and enigmatic Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson playing the role of the literature student Anastasia Steel who will meet Grey in an interview that will change both of their lives.
Of course fans of the book are still wondering how explicit and graphic the movie will be. In an interview with the "Today Show", Johnson had this to say about the sex scenes in the movie, "It's not like a romantic situation. It's more, like, technical and choreographed. It's more like a task."
"Fifty Shades of Grey" will be released theatres on February 13, 2015.
