After Kim Matula's confirmed exit from "The Bold and the Beautiful," another rumor has surfaced, and this time it involves the return of a character last seen in 2013. According to several websites, the character of Steffy Forrester might make a return courtesy of "General Hospital" star Kelly Thiebaud.
Celeb Dirty Laundry reports that "General Hospital" star Kelly Thiebaud is a possible actress to bring back Steffy's character to life, after news of her leaving the "General Hospital" circulated this week. The reintroduction of Steffy's character seems to be the solution of "The Bold and the Beautiful" producers to the void to be left behind by Matula, who, along with her character Hope Logan, will be making an exit.
"Considering the fact that half of 'Bold and the Beautiful' literally revolves around Hope's love life, the soap really has no choice but to bring in a new cast member," Celeb Dirty Laundry says. It has already been reported that Steffy's former actress, Jacqueline Maccines Wood, will not return for the role.
According to Examiner, casting for "General Hospital" has been questionable lately after several actors has been rumored either leaving or getting fired. For Thiebaud's part, apparently her screen time as Britt Westbourne has been cut because of the addition of Michelle Stafford.
Celeb Dirty Laundry thinks it would be wise on her part to switch to "The Bold and the Beautiful" where she will not have to compete for screen time after Matula's exit.
"Rumors are that she is unhappy with contract talks," reports Examiner. Also according to the article, Thiebaud has not been seen as Britt on the show this November after her screen time got cut from appearing several times a week down to "once or twice a week, minimally."
Soaps in Depth further states that Thiebaud has chosen not to sign another contract with "General Hospital" and is instead currently on recurring status until she can be written off. However, the article also says that a CBS spokesperson spoke about the matter denying that Thiebaud will be jumping ship.
