The solo career of former member of K-pop idol group EXO, Kris, seems to be smooth-sailing these days. The idol-turned-actor will be starring in the upcoming Chinese movie "Somewhere Only We Know," which recently released its official movie posters as well as a 30-second teaser trailer.
According to allkpop, two versions of the movie poster were released featuring Kris, who is now professionally known as Wu Yifan. One of the posters shows the actor in front of a grand clock together with a lady. The other poster shows the same woman riding a bike with another man.
Meanwhile, the short teaser clip shows Kris having a difficult time as he is part of a love triangle with the two lead stars.
The former EXO-M leader and SM Entertainment talent recently released a self-written song titled "There is a Place" as part of the upcoming movie's OST. The track was released as part of the singer-actor's 24th birthday celebration on November 6. Wu Yifan held a live stream event where he sang the Chinese song for his fans.
Chinese media reported, as Mr. Galaxy Fanfan's House translated, that it took the singer 10 hours to finish recording the song in the studio. The film's director, Xu Jinglei, was reported present in the recording studio to support the Yifan.
In other news, the widely-followed former EXO member recently returned to Instagram after his account was allegedly hacked and deleted. On November 10, Kris posted on his Instagram account a message saying, "I sincerely apologize to all of my fans who have supported me through everything. I am sorry that this issue may have caused you to worry. I have just gotten back control over my Instagram account. My team and I are doing our best to revitalize e-mails and all other lost information. Please accept my apology and thank you for understanding."
Meanwhile, EXO is currently promoting as 10-member group following Kris's departure in May as well as Luhan's exit in October.
