Singing sensation Mariah Carey wowed everybody with her classic rendition and own version of the song "All I Want For Christmas Is You" at the Rockefeller Center in New York for the 82nd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 3, Wednesday.
According to Ace Showbiz, the singer was wearing a low-cut dress colored in red that is showing a little bit of her cleavage. She was with some backup singers and children who are dressed in all white were her backup dancers.
She experienced some problems with the soundmen since she was seen giving them signs with her ear monitors. Later she just decided to continue singing even without them.
TMZ on the other hand reported that the singer skipped the pre-tape show for the actual event, which was scheduled the night before. She still was able to make it but she was already 3 hours that the network NBC who was spearheading the show, decided to just cut her off the pre-tape list.
The cause of her tardiness was due to her abrupt meeting for her divorce settlement with husband Nick Cannon. The diva apologized to her fans who waited in the rain just to see her. Although the network was pissed on what happened the night before, they still decided to have her on the actual show performing live.
The gossip website also added fuel to the fire saying the LeAnne Rimes was a bit ranting about having more airtime if not for Mariah being late.
Perez Hilton confirmed that the diva was apologetic on what happened as she posted something for her fans on Twitter saying, "Last night's situation was beyond my control. I apologize to all that showed up, you know that I would never want to disappoint you." Another post says, "You've kept me here, in your hearts, and I keep you in mine always. We are #lambily! #ThereForMe."
Carey posted a follow-up on Twitter with the message, "I will be opening tonight's live show in Rockefeller center with "All I Want For Christmas Is You"!!!! Tune in at 8pm on NBC!"
