Heidi Klum may be a lot of things: a mom, a supermodel, someone who's currently making most of the world look bad by stepping out in a bikini at 41 and putting most young people to shame (seriously- the New York Daily News reported on a Twitter war that broke out after Klum was seen in a thong while on vacation in Jamaica. It seems people can't agree over whether or not middle aged women should rock a thong in public- do you have any thoughts on the matter?).
But she's also pretty charitable. Sort of. Us Weekly reports that Klum deliver an extremely generous donation to the L.A. Children's hospital- to the tune of $25,000! The only catch... well, the money wasn't Klum's (she is a supermodel, though, so it's likely she has that kind of cash lying around).
Apparently, Klum delivered the megahuge check to the hospital on behalf of Sharper Image (you know, that company that sells ridiculous gifts like overcomplicated massage chairs or RC helicopters)- according to JustJared, the hand-off was at the Winter Wonderland Tree Lighting Ceremony at the hospital on Tuesday. The money is for Children's Hospital's Helping Hands fund, which provides financial support for families that can't afford health care for their own children.
Klum also tweeted about the event- saying the following online:
"Happy to be at the @ChildrensLA Tree Lighting and present this check for #HelpingHands Fund!"
The tweet came with a photo from the charity event- Klum, in a lacy black dress in front of a Christmas tree, handing an oversized check (the standard for all charity events) to a couple of children.
Truly, a marvelous event for all. Even if it wasn't Klum's money in the first place.
