Looks like Christmas has come early for the musical legend. Stevie Wonder is a father for the ninth time. The 64-year old legendary singer has welcomed a beautiful baby girl with girlfriend Tomeeka Robyn Bracy.
The proud parents have named their little bundle of joy Nia, said his [Stevie Wonder's] official representative in an interview with Us Weekly.Baby Nia is the couple's second daughter. Wonder, on the other hand has seven other children from his previous relationships.
Wonder has talked about his girlfriend's pregnancy in an interview with The View. In the November interview, the singer addressed false rumors that he was fathering triplets with fiancee, Tomeeka. If this were true, the singer's children count would be brought up to 11.
"Whoopi, it's so hard for me these days. That's why I'm going on the road. I've got how many-22 kids?" the singer said jokingly. "But actually it's not true."
"The truth is we're going to have a wonderful daughter, born in December, [and her] name is going to be Nia, which means purpose." the Grammy-award singer added.
"And like I said in the song 'Superstition,' 'When you believe in things you don't understand, you suffer," Wonder said, "So, you know, that's a bunch of a bull."
The singer is divorced from his previous marriage with his wife fashion designer Karen 'Kai' Millard Morris after 11 years of marriage when he got together with Tomeeka, says a report from The Daily Mail
Wonder and Morris are parents to sons Kailand and Mandla Kadjay. The singer is also father to son Mumtaz with then girlfriend Melody McCulley.
Wonder's children range in age from 12 months to 39 years old.
