"Assassin's Creed Unity" gets a new downloadable content which will arrive on January 13. The DLC expansion is entitled "Dead Kings" and it will feature a lot of new contents including a new map, enemies and weapons. To top it off, the DLC expansion will be free for download.
Digital Trends reports that the Dead Kings expansion is the first downloadable content for Assassin's Creed Unity. It is free for download for all gamers who bought the original ACU game for their Playstation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. They also added that the expansion was given away for free as compensation for the technical difficulties that gamers have experienced at game launch of the original Assassin's Creed Unity game.
The Official Website of Assassin's Creed Unity states that the events of the new Dead Kings DLC will continue the storyline of Assassin's Creed Unity's original game. They further teased that "the new Dead Kings DLC leads Arno to the dark and dreary city of Saint Denis, the final resting place of French royalty. But what will Arno uncover in the dismal and decrepit crypts that lie beneath the foreboding Basillica? Mysteries and intrigue fold in on themselves within the shadows of Saint Denis' ancient catacombs, threatening to envelope Arno as well!"
A sneak peak of the new map and arsenal was also revealed by Ubisoft, the game developer of Assassin's Creed Unity. They posted that there will be "subterranean warren of tunnels and chambers" and Arno will be armed with new weaponry. It will include a "multipurpose Guillotine Gun which combines the skull-splitting heft of a heavy axe with the room-clearing blast radius of a grenade launcher."
The game will also feature a new co-op and single-player missions including new open world activities such as treasure hunting, contracts and "Murder Mysteries" which will be perfect with the new Guillotine Gun according to the game developer.
Assassin's Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC Cinematic Trailer was also released by Ubisoft to show what gamers will get once they have downloaded the new expansion on January 13.
