Celebrity icons Ryan Gosling, 34, and Eva Mendes, 40, finally ended split-up rumors that have been hovering over their May-December love affair for a few months with a night of laughter as one of Hollywood's gorgeous couples went to the sold out Don Rickles Show at the Saban Theatre in Los Angeles on Jan. 17, according to a report on People.
News about the couple's possible split-up emerged a few months after Eva gave birth to their daughter, Esmeralda Amada, who was named after the heroine in Victor Hugo's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame." The couple had been unseen together since September. During that time, Ryan had also been filming "The Nice Guy," which was on set in Georgia. Based on insider reports, when Ryan asked that Eva take their daughter to the set so he could see her, Eva refused. The result was for Ryan to move back and forth from the movie set to their home, according to a report from Hollywood Life.
Nonetheless, the couple looked absolutely lovely, as always, when cameras spotted them at the comedy show in Beverly Hills on Saturday night. Eva wore a leopard-print dress, while Ryan wore a black and white suit, according to a report from E Online.
Ryan and Eva's love story began on set during the filming of "A Place beyond the Pines." The two have been very private about their lives, even when the rumors of the split-up surfaced. However, the couple was reported to be doting parents to their daughter. Eva refused to get a nanny for little Esmeralda because she wanted to be hands-on with taking care of her. Ryan was reported to be so in love with their daughter, which was the reason for moving in and out of the set while filming "The Nice Guy," just to be with their baby.
