‘The Mentalist’ Spoilers, Update: Jane, Lisbon's possible wedding expected to seal; "Glimmer of hope" to open up new season

By

Fans of the American police procedural television series, "The Mentalist," would be in for a load of surprises as the series nears its last five episodes, which would ultimately close the book for the crisp dressed "psychic," Patrick Jane (Simon Baker), Teressa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) and the team from the California Bureau of Investigation who hunt down maniacal criminal minds.

A few surprise guests and familiar faces, as well as, a possible wedding could wrap all up to a happy ending or even make the fans want for an eight season, according to a report from Enstars. In the final episode, characters Wayne Rigsby and Grace Van Pelt were rumored to make a return as the team hunt and put an end to the criminal trails of a Red John copy cat. Also in an interview of actor Rockmond Dunbar (Agent Abott), he comments that the last episode titled, "White Orchids," could provide a "glimmer of hope" for a possible new season.

As for possible clinking of wine glasses and peeling of bells, hopes of seeing a wedding for an ending were absolutely strengthened after Lisbon said "I love you" to Jane in Episode 7, "Little Yellow Houses," where the two visit Lisbon's hometown and her parent's old house in Chicago as they learned that Lisbon's younger brother, Jimmy, is sought as a witness in the beating and death of a judge's son, Nathan Barnes.

Nonetheless, Jane and Lisbon still have to cross the whole nine yards before reaching a happily ever after, when a skilled assassin has on his crosshairs Lisbon, her family and her friends in episode 8, "The Whites of His Eyes."

With a few more episodes adding to the excitement and anticipation for the series' ending, anything could go on and could possibly leave the book open for fans who're wanting more.
