The Voice season 8 is already shaping up to be a solid season. While The Voice hasn't started airing yet, the show has already revealed its list of mentors for the season. Fans are already excited about the new celebrity mentors for the upcoming season.
"Lionel Richie will help Team Pharrell Williams, Ellie Goulding will mentor Team Adam Levine, Nick Jonas will handle Team Christina Aguilera, and Meghan Trainor will assist Team Blake Shelton," a source had revealed to Us Weekly.
Meghan Trainor has become a hit celebrity stringing out platinum hits like "All About that Bass". Nick Jonas, on the other hand was part of "Jonas Brothers" and is currently starring in the British television series, Kingdom. Jonas also also has some experience on the stage when he played Marius Pontmercy in the Les Miserables: 25th Anniversary Concert.
The celebrity mentors - Nick, Lionel, Meghan, and Ellie - will make their entrance in the competition during the battle round stage, after the blind auditions.
Nick, Ellie, and Meghan are virtual newcomers when it comes to celebrity mentoring. On the other hand, Lionel had previously assisted Christina in season 2.
The new season of The Voice will premiere on Monday, February 23 on NBC. Aguilera will be making her comeback after taking time off for two seasons.
In a report with Hollywood Life, the singer had given birth to her baby daughter, Summer Rain in August. Aguilera is currently working on her eighth studio album. She also took to her Twitter to express her excitement over her comeback.
"New baby. New Music. New season of @NBCtheVoice. Bringing #FireAndFun to all, can't wait for 2015!" she tweeted.
