Mandy Moore Files for Divorce From Husband Ryan Adams -- But Will the Couple Still Make Music Together?

By

We've just lost one of our brightest celebrity musician couples: Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams are officially getting a divorce. The two have been marred for nearly six years, having married quietly in Savannah, Georgia back in March of 2009. But now it's time for them to split... for reasons unknown.

Billboard has an official statement from the couple about their divorce, but if you're looking for hard, concrete answers about why they split (something that could be summed up in a single word: "cheating," "money," "hatred"), you won't find it in this statement.

"Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage," the statement proclaims. "It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time."

The question is, though... what do Moore and Adams do now? They're pretty regular partners in music- they collaborated on an album last year, and they have plans to do so again. According to CTV News, Moore had recently stated the following in regards to her and her (now ex) husband's latest album.

"Life, life is inspiring what I'm writing about and I don't know exactly what it's going to sound like quiet yet."

"But... I'm going to work with my husband on it and make it at his studio so his influence will be all over it."

Will they still work on the album? Is it scrapped? Perhaps when we get more details about the divorce, we'll know more.

Or, we might never get details. Because Adams is an insanely private person- so much so that it's affected him publicly. People reports that a previous interview with Adams was ended immediately when Adams felt the questions became too personal and he didn't want to answer them.

"I'm a private person and I'll be a gentleman and say I'm not talking about my marriage ever. I'll never talk about it. Ever."

Do you think he'll spill the beans on this marriage? Or will it remain a secret forever? It could just take a while- Fall Out Boy bassist is just now dishing on his ex, years after their split. Maybe a little time is all Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore need.
