'Outlander' Spring Preview: Jaime Fraser’s ‘Feelings’ Flaunted for Fans, Executive Producer Moore Explains Jaime Needed the Exposure

Although Outlander's spring premiere wouldn't be due until April, Starz already went to the Internet and gave anticipating fans over a minute sneak peak on what's in store for them as they continually follow nurse Claire Randall (Catiriona Balfe) who unexpectedly traveled back through time from post war Great Britain in 1945 to historical royal Scotland in 1743.

In the short glimpse of the future episode of the series, "The Reckoning," fans would see that tables have turned in terms of whose point of view they would be hearing or following. If in the previous episodes Claire's perspective led the narrative in the series, fans would soon be hearing Jamie Fraser's (Sam Heughan) thoughts rolling along the story line.

During the 2015 winter TV press tour, the creator and executive producer of the much talked about TV series, Ronald Moore, explained that the shift of perspective in the upcoming spring premiere meant as a pivot to included Jamie in the story, so as not to focus the program entirely on Claire. This project is a drift from Moore's previous popular works which themes are mainly science fiction.

The "Outlander" was based on the novel with the same title, authored by Diana Gabaldon, who interestingly did a cameo in the episode titled, "The Gathering." The TV series was a mix of romance and adventure, with a hint of time travel. The book and the TV series' title took root from the story's heroine, Claire, who after being pulled back in the 18th century was identified as a Sassenach - an "Outlander" in blood drench Scotland.

With Jaime taking in the reigns in the upcoming episode, the TV series would soon follow both Claire's and Jaime's thoughts as they proceed with their perilous journey in a country racked by upheavals. Their romance continues on April 4th, 9PM only on Starz.
