Who ever doubted Katy Perry for doing the Halftime Show at Super Bowl was proven absolutely wrong. The popstar blew everyone away with an explosive and totally amazing performance.
Katy Perry brought her A-game to the halftime show at the University of Phoenix Stadium last Sunday night as she dazzles them with colorful ensembles and show-stopping performance. She started off by wearing a flame-colored suit and riding an enormous animatronic lion while singing one of her hit single "Roar" according to Billboard. Next, she sang her 2014 hit "Dark Horse", and transforming the stage into a 3D chessboard, complete with Chess pieces.
Also performing alongside Perry on the Super Bowl stage was rocker Lenny Kravitz who belted it out with a duet of one of Katy Perry's first mega-hit "I Kissed a Girl". And sharks were definitely there as promised by Katy, as she sang "Teenage Dream" and "California Girls" with some dancing sharks and palm trees.
And another surprise guest, who came out to not be a surprise was rapper, Missy Elliott. According to Vanity Fair, Katy promised a round of old school performers and everyone was speculating about a Madonna or a Britney cameo on the show. However, it was later revealed that it was Missy Elliott. She and Perry went on to perform the songs: "Get Your Freak On", "Work It" and "Lose Control".
Katy Perry had a costume changed and appeared in a literally star-studded costume while she was carried in mid-air singing her finale song of the show, "Firework". People watched the show as ireworks were shot to the sky as the show ended.
Speculations about the 30-year-old diva having pre recorded the whole singing were thrown in the bushes, because Perry was singing it live the whole time according to USA Today. Katy's performance was so electric she even got positive message from people on Twitter.
It's no question that all the 113 expected audience was awed by the epic performance brought by Katy Perry, who said that at the end of the day people would be smiling in unison.The singer did not fail on doing so.
