Samsung Galaxy S6 to be Unveiled at MWC; Mobile marketing chief Kim Seok-pil Resigns Before Device's Introduction

By

It hasn’t been a long time since Samsung had introduced and launched Samsung Galaxy S5. However, word of a new flagship phone to be introduced on March 1 this year has already been circulating as a “Project Zero” came up from one of Samsung’s report. If the speculations are correct, then Samsung Galaxy S6 is just around the bend.

Speaking of bend, Samsung is said to be depending on flexible yet durable displays. For that reason, the Samsung Galaxy S6 should come out equipped with a 5” OLED display. Given the display size, one can assume that the smartphone in question would be a bit smaller compared to its predecessor.

Under the hood, the smartphone is believed to have an octa-core 64-bit CPU and an Exynos 7420 chipset paired with 4GB RAM, thus ensuring a very promising performance. The device could also have a 128GB storage support, 20 megapixel camera, Bluetooth smart, GPS, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

With the given specs, the cost should go around US$1090. However, that only goes to one variant since other Galaxy S6 models are expected to come out with less storage capacity.

While the launched of the supposed Galaxy S6 is good news, Samsung’s Mobile marketing chief Kim Seok-pil has filed his resignation, most probably due to health reasons. A Samsung spokesperson said that he will be replaced by lee Sang-chul who is also supervising the operations in Russia.

With that aside, Lee will be facing a huge mountain of responsibilities in making sure that the supposed Samsung Galaxy S6 will do better than the Galaxy S5. According to Samsung, the fact the they have the “Project Zero” is because they need to begin from scratch in order to come up with something different, and that would outdo their previous Galaxy S phones.

Features of the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be officially revealed during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) that’s going to be held on March 1. Retail prices should be announced along with other variants that it may have during the announcement.
