Football Star Rob Gronkowski Is NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year

American football player Rob Gronkowski won NFL's Comeback Player of the Year last Saturday, getting 27 over 50 votes. Gronkowski's clan proudly went on stage to get Gronk's award while the player is preparing at the Patriots Hotel for the Super Bowl XLIX.

With seven votes each, Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain and Eagles Jeremy Maclin were on the second place followed by Chris Harris of Broncos who got three votes and Justin Forsett from Ravens on the fourth sppt. Texans' player Arian Foster got two votes as he landed the fifth place, and one vote each for Bills quarterback Kyle Orton and Cardinals linebacker Larry Foote on the sixth spot for the NFL Honors.

In the 2011 season of Super Bowl, the Patriots star, suffered a knee injury over a game against Browns. Gronk underwent a surgery, ending last season earlier than expected. His forearm was also broken in 2012, missing five games. When he returned in the playoffs, his forearm broke off again. To treat the injury, Gronk underwent three more surgeries and a back surgery during the off season.

According to NFL , Gronkowski returned with mishaps in his four games this season, seemingly different from before until his team won over Cincinnati. Gronkowski returned on 2013's midseason, suprising everyone with fairly high numbers in the game. Gronk's team caught 82 passes and 12 touchdowns in 1,124 yards. Later that year, his ACL injury was healed.

Meanwhile, Gronkowski was seen partying minutes before Super Bowl XLIX officially starts on Sunday. In the meantime, 31-year-old Jason Howe admittedly expressed amazement after seeing the New England Patriots tight star in the same bar he's partying.

As captain of the Patriots, Gronk met the Seahawks at the midfield for the pregame coin toss.
