Mirror's Edge 2's latest news showcased the desire of the game's developer to take away the frustrated mood that used to dominate the game. The game's CEO, Karl-Magnus Trodesson revealed that the developers sought to deviate from large team conceptualizations. The CEO revealed that the brains behind the game would like to angle more on small team work for Mirror's Edge 2, as reported in an article in Game Spot.
Troedsson admitted:
"We realized this is going to take some time for us, so we basically said, let's take the time and perhaps have a little bit of a smaller team over a longer period of time."
Furthermore, an article in The Polygon revealed that the CEO announced the game's developers will produce first person themes and plat forming concepts, in a CVG interview.
Karl had these comments to say to explain the first person themes or concepts in the new Mirror Edge 2:
"What I can say is that if the last game focused on first-person movement, it was definitely shown in the movie here that the DICE team will be focusing on first-person combat as well, to really nail and refine that."
"We really want to continue doing that but removing a bit of the frustration that came with that in the first game,"
"We're focusing on first-person combat this time around, to make sure we bring that experience into something that is really fun and accessible."
Meanwhile, 40,000 individuals have sealed their approvals for a petition to get rid of Anita Sarkeesian in the new Mirror's Edge 2 sequel. Petitioners were allegedly angry for having Anita enforce her feminist views and actions in the game.
