'Mad Men' Season 7 Part 2 finally has a premiere date. AMC has officially announced Saturday (January 10) at the Television Critics Association Winter Tour the critically acclaimed series kicks off on Sunday, April 5, 2015.
'Man Men' creator Matt Weiner said in a statement, "What an incredible journey this has been. I take great pride in what the entire Mad Men team was able to create episode after episode, season after season. We sincerely thank the fans for joining us on this ride and hope it has meant as much to them as it has to us."
Nonetheless, Weiner answered with TV Line the possibility of the "spin-off".
"I can't wait for people to see [the final episodes]," Weiner said. "It's going be weird to actually get to the point where there is no more new ones. The spinoff, right now, is these last seven episodes, as far as I'm concerned."
He urged fans to never miss the last episodes; he added, "each one of them feels like a finale."
According to HGNG, that Matthew Weiner and cast spoke to TV Guide for some spoilers. It is said that the final episodes will "advance the story in a different way."
"They're different because the experience of ending the show is different," he continued. "The show's become so much more concentrated on these characters. The last seven episodes, I would say each one of them feels like a finale of the show."
As to how the show will end, the cast would not want to disclose many details. They, however, teased the fans a little bit on what to expect.
"Part of our story in this last season [is], people do change, but then in a lot of ways, they don't unfortunately," Elisabeth Moss offered.
Meanwhile, anti-hero Don Draper, Jon Hamm admitted, in a recent interview, his sadness to end the show.
"So looking forward to being unemployed," Hamm said sarcastically. "So happy not to see any of these people ever again. All of that is really great. Hashtag sarcasm. There's no version of this ending that's not super painful for me. Mostly, it's because of these people, because they've been this single constant in my creative life for the last decade, so that's kind of tough."
It was also learned that the series will be eligible for 2015 Emmy nominations. To date, the 'Mad Men' has earned seven nominations for Outstanding Drama Series.
