Greek F-16 Plane Crash Update: Questions on Pilots’ Failure to Eject Themselves Arise; Is There a Conspiracy Behind the Accident?

By

Last week, eleven foreign military were killed because of an unfortunate air crash at a NATO air base in Spain. This was the reason why the Spanish Ministry of Defense decided not to continue the Tactical Leadership Program exercise.

There were also reported major and minor injuries caused by the incident. Some of the victims were taken to a hospital in Madrid and the others were treated near the base.

One report revealed that two Greek pilots and nine French airmen on land met their end during that ungrateful day. The Greek pilots were in a training exercise when the crash happened. Clearly, no one saw it coming.

One source says that the fighter jet failed to have sufficient power before it even took off. There were other planes affected because of the crash. This includes two Italian AMXs. There were also people who questioned why the pilots didn't eject themselves from the aircraft and accused them of not doing what they needed to do in order to survive. However, those who have witnessed shared that the crew tried to eject.

The accident heightened the fear amongst those who were in the area. It was reported that the fighter jet crashed to other aircrafts and these were filled with fuel as well. It was really a catastrophe.

Further investigations are to be conducted as the black boxes were already recovered. However, it was initially reported that it was an engine failure that started this horrifying event. It was shared that there were no safety and organizational issues. This was just mere bad luck.

It was very unfortunate that this happened. A day of mourning was also declared because of the fatal F-16 crash in NATO air base. The families of the victims are still in shock because of the incident. Nevertheless, support will be given as necessary.
