Fans of the movie, John Wick, will no longer have to wait a wickedly long time to watch the sequel of the film. Directors of the movie reported are in development for a script of John Wick 2.
Movies.com had a an interview with the stuntmen turned directors, Chad Stahelski and David Leitch for the "Director's Notebook", and the two revealed that they are currently working on a part two on their hit debut movie, which starred Keanu Reeves.
The film John Wick was Stahelski and Leitch's first feature-length film, but the two are previously legendary stunt coordinators. They have worked with Reeves on 'The Matrix Trilogy', they have also choreographed various movie fight scenes like in the movies, '300', 'The Hunger Games', 'Spider Man 2', 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith', 'Escape from L.A.', and many more.
Though the story specific has not been given out yet nor assurance if Reeves would return, Stahelski gave a hint saying, "If we could work with Keanu Reeves for 10 movies you'd have a really cool career", as reported by Screenrant
The two directors also mentioned that creating action-packed scenes are not the ones that are pressuring them but the ability to make the character more relatable to the audience is what keeps them busy according to MoarGeek.
"We have ideas for days and without blinking twice we know we can outdo the action from the original," Stahelski said. "It's the matter of story and how much you like the character. That's always the most important. If there's a great action but you have a character that no one likes and doesn't have charisma you're not going to watch it. "
"Look at any great action star, whether it's Harrison Ford or Liam Neeson or Robert Downey Jr., pick a name, you love the guy first. Good action, bad action, you just love them in action. So we want to make sure we have a story and a chartacter that everybody loves and then we'll dress it with action that we promise will be awesome."
Nothing has been marked in stone yet about the movie sequel but the two directors is rumored to direct a movie starring Chris Pratt in Cowboy Ninja Viking, a comic book movie.
